A Matthew 25 Church of the PC USA
Now with a Pandemic in the world, and panic and uncertainty everywhere please keep each other in prayer and be aware...
When we do gather again for worship,
We will make every precaution to keep our worship area and building clean and safe;
and in worship to use gloves for communion. We will refrain from shaking hands, but touch shoulders, or remain three feet apart if it comes to that...
What does it mean not to be able to touch another???
We will learn how important our touch is...by refraining from it.
Guidelines for all: Practicing personal health and hygiene actions are key in preventing the spread of respiratory viruses. Seminole County Emergency Management recommends following the Center for Disease Control guidelines:
God's Word tells our faith story,
as it reveals a divine love God
who is with us in trials.
God's compassion lived out in the body of Christ...
even as we may be separated...
God's invitation in this time is to deepen our relationship with God and one another.
God's promises to strengthen us,
as we work and pray for those
most at risk in this time,
those without jobs now, those lonely, those working in healthcare.
We are thankful for our government workers and generous corporations making adjustments to help one another.
In our nation's racial divide,
what is God saying?
The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said,
“Law and order exists for the purpose of establishing justice and when they fail in this purpose, they become the dangerously structured dams that block the flow of social progress."
Is the current unrest around the country a result of decades of law and order failing in its purpose to establish justice?
Do Black LIves Matter? What does this mean to you?
What is white privilege?
The difference between non-racial, and anti-racist?
We live out the resurrection
of Jesus Christ
by practicing our faith.
Personal worship, prayers, and
corporate worship and services.
We stand against systematic racism
which is the reality of our culture.
We seek to feed the hungry.
We seek to draw people to Christ
by accepting all, shaming no one.
Affirming life, freedom, and a person's
individual conscience to make
decision about their own healthcare!
We are a loving, caring, and
God uses us and will use you
to improve the world, God's kingdom.
We are an affirming and inclusive
family of believers.
Do support us with your presence
and if you are able in your giving to our mission.
All gifts are graciously appreciated.
We offer you our words of encouragement and peace on our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts. Let us know if you have people we may pray for in these coming months.
