The Session of St. Mark’s is the leadership for the church guided by their shared servant-hood to Jesus Christ through prayer and conversation.  They meet monthly and make decisions as to the mission and ministries of the church.

At present, there are nine members who serve three-year terms as elders, referred to as “ruling elders,” and one member who is the pastor, or “teaching elder.”

This council meets monthly to guide and plan the church mission and witness.  Each elder serves by leading a committee.  Committee’s are specifically directed with responsibilities in the life of the church.  Members and friends of the congregation are welcome to serve on these ministry committees.

Committees of the church include:

Worship committee - working to plan, prepare and carry out worshipful events

Congregational Care - building and enhancing the relationships of St. Mark's congregation

Witness and Outreach - building relationships within the community and the world

Education - planning Christian Education programs including Sunday School programs, Vacation Bible School, educational events and more

Plant and Grounds committee - caring for the church facility

Finance/Stewardship committee - working to ensure a strong financial base for the church

Administration - coordinating committees and programs and working with the church personnel
